Do you notice white, crusty deposits on your showerhead or faucets? That is hard water scale, and it is a common problem in many households. Hard water is water that contains high levels of minerals like calcium and magnesium, which can cause scale buildup in pipes, appliances, and fixtures. This can not only affect the appearance of your bathroom but also lead to a decrease in water pressure and even plumbing problems.
An automatic water softener system is the only actual way of legitimately softening the water by removing the hardness which can be proven with lab results.

Discover the transformative power of the AquaCo Water Softener With Pre-Filtration System – your comprehensive water filtration solution for tackling hard water and scale deposits. Effortlessly turn your hard water into a source of soft, pure bliss with our automatic water softener, complete with an innovative pre-filtration system. Experience the joy of cleaner, softer water as it efficiently reduces sediment, chlorine, pesticides, and other impurities before they even reach your pipes and appliances. Say goodbye to unsightly stains and buildup, and simultaneously extend the lifespan of your cherished appliances and plumbing. Elevate your water quality with the advanced technology packed into this exceptional water treatment system.

Filtration Stages
- Stage 1 – 100% Polypropylene Triple Gradient Sediment filter: Removes Dust, Sediment, Dust, Dirt, Rust, Sand, Slit, and Algae.
- Stage 2.A – Coconut Shell Activated Carbon Filter for effective reduction of chlorine, volatile organic compounds, Pesticides, herbicides, taste and odour from water.
- Stage 2.B – AquaCo® 20″ x 4.5″ Disruptor® BIO Filter Cartridge delivers advanced, broad-spectrum contaminant removal through its innovative multi-stage filtration design. This high-performance cartridge integrates several cutting-edge filtration mechanisms into a single compact unit:
- Electroadsorptive nanotechnology actively attracts and captures charged contaminants.
- Depth filtration ensures efficient particle removal throughout the entire media structure. High-surface-area nanofibers enable fine filtration down to submicron levels.
- Submicron membrane layers effectively trap viruses, bacteria, and microscopic debris.
- High-performance multi-media catalytic carbon block further reduces PFAS compounds (including PFOA and PFOS), heavy metals, chlorine, and volatile organic chemicals.
- The filter is also bacteriostatic, helping inhibit bacterial growth within the media. By combining mechanical filtration, adsorption, and electroadsorption in one system, the AquaCo® Disruptor® BIO cartridge provides comprehensive water purification for both residential and commercial applications.
Maintenance
Pre-Filtration System Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and hygiene and to prevent build up of contaminants, we recommend that filters are not used any longer than 12-18 months. However, replacement frequency depends on water quality and usage.
Filters should also be changed when rated capacity is reached, or when flow becomes too slow.
Annual Filters Replacement Cost:
20” x 4.5” Two Stage Annual replacement cost for Sediment, Carbon is $165 for two Filters, if you want to get Sediment and Disruptor® will cost $349 for two filters.
Water Softener Maintenance
The water softener has a cylinder that holds 27 litres of high grade softening resin. This amount of resin can treat 17,000 litres of water at 100 mg/l hardness, once this capacity is reached, the computer will regenerate the resin (a brine solution will wash down the resin). At 200 mg/l hardness, the resin will regenerate every 8,500 litres (every week or two approximately). Each regeneration requires 4.5 Kg of salt, meaning that you need to top up with “water softener salt” the side compartment in the water softener. The side compartment should be kept 1/3 full at all times.
Reverse Osmosis System Maintenance
In reverse osmosis, each filter has a different life span.
1st Stage: Made in USA Inline Carbon Filter to protect the membrane. – (Every year)
2nd Stage: The membrane acts as a barrier to all salts and inorganic molecules, as well as organic molecules. – (Every 3 years)
3rd Stage: The Alkalising filter raises the pH levels by adding smaller quantities of alkaline minerals generating low ORP (antioxidant oxygenating qualities). – (Every 2 years)

FAQ's
How is the AquaCo Water Softener different from others in the market?
Can I just install the water softener?
Unfortunately, a water softener can’t be installed by itself. Softeners require filtered water for the softening resin that lies inside. As tap water or town water contains chemicals, and other disinfectants that oxidise and damage the resin, a Pre-Filtration System is always required to meet the water quality standards required by water softeners’ manufacturers in installation manuals. Otherwise, the original warranty is void.
Can install a water conditioner instead of a water softener?
Ion exchange water softeners are among the most common ways of softening water. These are the only known water softening filtration methods that can be tested and proved with laboratory results. There is no scientific method that can prove the efficiency of other salt-free softeners or ‘water conditioners’ in the market.
What’s inside a water softener?
Salt Based Water softeners consist of a cylinder filled with ion-exchange resin beads that are capable of removing hardness ions from water and replacing them with softer ions, such a sodium.
How does a water softener regenerates the resin?
The cylinder is connected to a brine tank that’s filled with salt, which periodically regenerates the resin beads. The cylinder’s tiny beads attract and hold onto calcium and magnesium ions as water passes through them. When the beads become so saturated they can’t hold any more, the unit rinses them with a brine solution (salty water), which scrubs off the mineral deposits (calcium) and gets them ready to absorb hardness ions again.
Where is the water softener installed?
The location of the water softener will depend on the plumber criteria according to your pipes arrangement. The system will be connected before the pipes divert into your house. Usually, water softeners are installed in the garage or in one of the side walls of your house.
What’s the warranty?
All our filtration systems have 5* years warranty in parts and labour.
