• Stage 1: 1 Micron Sediment Pre-Filter – Replace every year

100% Polypropylene Triple Gradient Sediment Filter.

Triple Gradient or Triple Layered means its outer layer has 10 microns, the middle layer has 5 microns and the inner layer (core) has 1 micron. This prevents filters blocking prematurely and provides a higher contaminant holding capacity. Instead of dirt building up on the outside, like regular sediment filters, dirt is trapped throughout the whole filter.

• Stage 2: Fluoride Removal Filter

Made in USA by Omnipure. Activated Alumina Media that removes up to 97% of fluoride in the water.

• Stage 3: Disruptor® Filter

Designed in Australia with German and Swedish Components. The AquaCo® 9″ x 2.5″ Disruptor® Filter Cartridge combines multiple filtration methods: electroadsorption to attract contaminants, depth filtration for efficient removal throughout the medium, nanofiber surface area for fine filtration, and submicron filtration for tiny particles. It also uses powdered activated carbon to remove chemicals and odours, has a bacteriostatic effect to prevent bacterial growth, and offers multifunctionality by integrating mechanical, adsorption, and electradsorption processes for comprehensive contaminant removal of PFAS Compounds, Chlorine, Taste, Odours, Heavy Metals, Chloramines, Bacteria, Viruses, Parasites.

• To ensure optimal performance and hygiene and to prevent build up of contaminants, we recommend that filters are not used any longer than 12 months. However, replacement frequency depends on water quality and usage.
• Filters should also be changed when rated capacity is reached, or when flow becomes too slow.

Usually the system is installed standing under the kitchen sink. This ensures a cost efficient fast installation. Where height is an issue, the system can be installed laying down as well. See installation diagram. 

Will this system reduce my TDS levels?

Unfortunately, unlike reverse osmosis systems, this system will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), or Calcium Hardness. If you are interested in a system that reduces TDS or removes hardness from your drinking water consider our AquaCo Reverse Osmosis System, or for the whole house, consider our AquaCo Water Softener.
