1st Stage: PP-2045-5 – Triple Gradient Sediment Filter
- Removes Suspended Particles, Sand, Dirt, Rust, Clay, Mud, Sand, and Silt.
- These filters have graded density layers, meaning the outer layers are more porous, catching larger particles, while the inner layers are a finer micron catching smaller particles. Each cartridge is individually shrink-wrapped.
2nd Stage: DIS-2045 – AquaCo® Disruptor® Replacement Filter
- Certified to reduce PFOA, PFOS, Chlorine, Taste, Odours, Heavy Metals (Copper, Lead…), Chloramines, Bacteria, Viruses, and Parasites.

Easy filter changes – Quick, simple “swap-out” design with no special tools required.
Recommended replacement – Replace filters every 12–18 months. Actual replacement frequency will depend on your water quality and how much water you use. Leaving filters in service for too long can put stress on the housings and may lead to reduced filtration performance, leaks, or damage to the system.

Important: For both whole house and under-sink systems, filters are designed to be replaced before you notice a change in taste, smell or quality. We recommend following the service schedule rather than waiting for symptoms or relying on occasional water tests. This keeps your water consistently fresh and protects your system long-term.

There is no reliable way to visually inspect most filters. The only stage that will capture visible particles is the first-stage sediment filter, which removes dirt, sand, rust and other suspended solids. The following chemical or carbon stages work by adsorption – a microscopic process where contaminants bond to the filtration media. Because this happens at a molecular level, you can’t see when these filters are exhausted. Performance is determined by time in service, water quality and usage, not by appearance.

Will this set up reduce my TDS levels?

Unfortunately, unlike reverse osmosis systems, these filters will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), or Calcium Hardness. If you are interested in a system that reduces TDS or removes hardness from your drinking water consider our AquaCo Compact Reverse Osmosis System, or for the whole house, consider our AquaCo Water Softener.

What’s the difference between Premium or Classic Filters?

Depending on the filters you choose, premium or standard filters, you can choose what contaminants to remove from the water. Whereas, classic filters only reduce chlorine, pesticides, herbicides and volatile organic compounds, premium filters remove the same contaminants, but also remove chloramines, heavy metals, viruses, parasites and bacteria. Dirt, sand, silt, rust and other sediments are removed in both options.

As a result, the water coming into your house will be free from dirt and the contaminants that concern you the most.

Can I change the filters myself?

Yes, we use simple twist-off housings and drop-and-go filter design for quick replacement.

An opening tool (spanner) is supplied for tightening and screwing the filter housings.

How long do the filters last?

Each set of filters lasts for up to 300,000 Litres (depends on water quality) or 12 months of use on average.

Also, because the filters are 20″ x 4.5″ in size, they offer twice filtration capacity compared to 10″ x 4.5″ filters. This also means that our 20″ x 4.5″ filters need changing every 12-18 months instead of 3-6 months like 10″ x 4.5″ filters.

What’s the difference between 20″ x 4.5″ and 10″ x 4.5″ Filters?

100% More Capacity – Our filters are 20” x 4.5″ in size, they double the contact time, flow rates, longevity and chemical removal rates, compared to smaller 10” x 4.5″ filters on the market.

UV Light or Disruptor?

Compared to UV lights, the Disruptor does not require power to kill bacteria, meaning that it’s more efficient. This is because, UV lights have to be switch on all the time, and need replacing after a certain number of hours. This filter, instead of working with time, like common UV lights, its replacing depends on your water consumption.

To reduce the risk of property damage due to water leakage:

For Cold water use only. Install on COLD water lines only.
Never install or operate where inlet water pressure may exceed 90 psi (620 kPa)
Protect from freezing. Remove filter if temperature drop below 1°C.

Guidelines and Warnings

Where line pressure exceeds 70 PSI, a pressure limiting valve must be installed. Protect the housing from water hammer.
Use on cold water line only (with water up to 38°C). For installation over 38°C please enquire as to a suitable housing. Protect the housing from freezing.
Avoid installing in direct sunlight.
Use PTFE thread seal tape on all connections. Use of pipe sealants will void warranty.
Do not overtighten. Too much tape or over tightening may cause head to split.
For point of entry installations an approved dual check backflow prevention device must be fitted in accordance with national plumbing product codes.
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
This product must be installed in accordance with local plumbing regulations by a licensed plumber.
