The Limеtrоn utilizеѕ a ѕресiаllу dеvеlореd metal alloy that reacts with wаtеr аltеring thе ѕtаtе оf саlсium саrbоnаtе and рrеvеnting it from forming limescale.
Each Limetron unit is designed to operate within a specific flow rate range for optimal performance. If the exact flow rate is unknown, the recommended approach is to select a Limetron that matches the pipe diameter at the installation point. In cases where significant scale buildup has already reduced the pipe’s internal diameter by approximately 15%, installing a Limetron one size smaller than the pipe diameter can enhance its effectiveness. The Limetron device works across both hot and cold water systems, preventing the formation of hard scale deposits in appliances and plumbing. By reducing limescale accumulation, it helps improve the efficiency of heating systems, lowering energy consumption and maintenance costs.

How It Works:
At the core of the Limetron is a unique catalytic alloy composed of semi-precious metals. As water flows through the device, the natural conductivity of the water interacts with this alloy, generating a small electrical field. This field induces calcium and bicarbonate ions in the water to form microscopic calcium carbonate crystals known as aragonite. Unlike typical limescale, aragonite has a smooth surface that doesn’t adhere to pipes or appliances, allowing it to be washed away with the water flow. Additionally, treated water can absorb existing limescale deposits, gradually reducing buildup over time.
